ΩΝ started at late 1998, as a Pagan Black Metal one man's band, by "ΩΝ (He Who Is)" under the name Νεκροδαίμων (also knwon as Nekrodaimon). Influenced by the Hellenic Black metal scene, NεKρобαίμωv released in 2000 their first self titled promo tape. Their second release came after 13 years, a mini EP called "ΠΑΝ ΓΑΡ ΕΣΤΙ". Some members came and left the early days, but at the end, it was a one man's project. In early 2015 Nεκρoбαίμων changed their name to ΧΞΣ (honoring the mighty Rotting Christ) and released the two track demo "ΕΩΑ". Later, the same year the name was changed (this time it was finalised) one more time to ΩΝ (also known as Omega Ni), for obvious reasons, after ΩΝ and Sakis from Rotting Christ talked about the problems and the confusion ΧΞΣ may cause, because of the canceled gigs of Rotting Christ in South Africa and the use of ΧΞΣ as a band name by Rotting Christ, after their company's advice. This Anthology contains some very early, rare and unreleased till now, material from the Nεкρобαίμων and ΧΞΣ era. The music of this Anthology may not represent ΩΝ as they are now, but this was the past, and there are no regrets about it. After 2015, Nekrodaimon/Nεкρобαίμων continues as a separate project from ΩΝ.
